The ending of this movie touched me emotionally. The concept and idea behind the whole plot and story was enough to make me cry. Lessons were learned throughout the movie. But the most important moral was that no picture is worth your life.
Journalists risk there lives to catch a picture or write a story, but through those they inform the people of the wrongs in the world. For example, Dan Eldon in Somalia in 1993. Unfortunately, Dan Eldon died on the job. His death was tragic. But he is a hero.

Dying to Tell the Story Dan Eldon
Journalism can be described as the activity or profession of writing for newspapers or magazines or of broadcasting news on radio or television. Some view it as a way for people to get paid... just to make a story. However, through this movie, I have realized the real importance and seriousness of Journalism.
I have realized that journalists want to expose the truths of the world. Whether its through words or pictures, the messages are clear. Journalism can be a dangerous job and journalists risk their lives to produce the information we need to know...The Truth.

Are Students Ready For College?
What in the world is happening in this school district? It is unbelievable how the Rochester City School District is being compared to the Buffalo and Syracuse and other School Districts. Also the stupid information such as how the information about students being prepared for college is based on scores! What?!
"A study presented to the New York State Board of Regents on Monday looked at the percentage of high school students scoring at least a 75 in English and an 80 in math on the state's Regents — a much higher threshold than is required to earn a diploma," Democrat and Chronicle.
Are you serious? Some people who are bad at scoring high on exams do really well on their work in class. How is it that you have to score high just to be ready for college?
Another aspect that is focused on concerning high school graduation rates would be race. 5% of African Americans, 7% of Hispanic, 10% of American Indian, 20% of White Americans, and 31% of Asian students are the statistics for graduation. (Statistics from the New York State Education Department)
Since when did your race control your brain and education? It has nothing to do with your scores and your ability to pass exams. Each student has an equal opportunity for education, regardless of your race.

Are Your Tech Habits Hurting Your Grades?
Many teachers can agree that cell phones and other technology such as media players like iPods and MP3 players are hurting the grades of their students.
Cell phones especially can cause distractions for students. Whether it's texting, surfing the web, or listening to music, students are glued to their phones. These actions lead to them not paying attention in class. In turn they miss the lessons that the teachers are providing. Many times the homework that is given to students each day, is based on the information presented in the lesson. When students have no clue what they were taught because they were texting, it results in them being unaware of how to do their homework.
From personal experience, the homework that is given, usually provides the grounds for exam questions. For example, my Algebra II and Trig teacher makes our tests based on review questions and/or homework questions that she has given us previously. When the technology today distracts students from learning and participating in class, the outcome and consequences are the damaged grades.

Do You Feel Uncomfortable Talking To Your Friends In Person?
With the technology these days people depend on communicating with their peers through cell phones emails, instant messaging, and other various technologies. So is it uncomfortable for people to talk to their friends in person? Perhaps.
Is it easier to talk to your friends in person? Probably not. When people feel that they aren't face to face with the person, words may come easier to them. There are certain things that people can not say to someone because people are afraid of the reactions of the person they're talking to.
For example, when people want to talk about sex, they are not necessarily comfortable discussing that in person. Or when they want to tell their best friend a deep secret but they are unaware of how they will react, they might feel more relaxed to text it or email it.
Technology can be used as a mask to block the emotions of the conversation. therefore it may be uncomfortable to talk to your friends in person.
